YSRCP has strong base in Pulivendula segment from 1978 onwards. YSR and his family have strong hold in Pulivendula. In all elections victory of Congress party is nominal from this segment. TDP has nowhere to compete with YSR family. Political scene has changed little bit in local body elections.
TDP sarpanch candidate B. Ramadevi is unanimously elected to Kaamballe, village comes under Sihadri Puram mandal in Pulivendula segment. Here officials rejected YSRCP candidate nomination due to wrong filing. By this way TDP won this village. Officials are yet to declare the result of this village. All eight ward members in this village are women from TDP panel have getting elected due to no opposition. Ramadevi is wife of Secretary of Telugu Yuvatha Ramgopal Reddy. Kaamballe is native of Ramgopal Reddy. Ramgopal Reddy is making all his efforts for the development of this Village. This pushes back YSRCP members to contest in the election.
Nominations completed for the election of around 21k village sarpanches. 1.29 lakh people are in arena for 21,441 villages. Karimnagar District is the highest and Srikakulam is the lowest nominations received for village sarpanches.
