Sources have stated that the Koya pujaris allegedly cheated MLA's family claiming that their special pujas would bring them luck and make him a minister. Meanwhile Koya pujaris Pastam Narsimha Raju and Vamshi of Karimabad, have told MLA's daughter Manasa to do some rituals for her father to 'become' minister. Sources have stated that in the name of Graha Dosham Pujas, the Koya doras have collected money of nearly Rs 57 lakhs.
Moreover with no result and pujaris asking 'more' money, MLA has suspected 'something wrong' and approached the cops. Previously the Koya pujaris have acquainted with MLA's daughter Manasa who was then 'offering prayers' to God for kids. That is when Koya doras have told her that she would be blessed by a baby girl.
In the meantime, the Koya pujaris have also told Manasa that she would also become MLA soon. Currently the cops have now booked cheating cases against Pastam Narsimha Raju and Pastam Vamsi. The incident has shocked many in the government and district as it once again proved that how even legislators are falling prey to age old superstitions.
