Konda Surekha is an ardent fan and follower of YSR. She is the first MLA who resigned for ministry in Rosaiah Govt for not making Jagan as CM against Congress High Command. Her husband Konda Murali also resigned for MLC for the sake of YS family.
In Telangana, Konada is the only known leader for YSRCP. She tried to conduct Jagan’s Telangana tour amid of lot of protests in Warangal but failed to do so. Konda couple has significance political influence in couple of Assembly segments in the district. But they are getting popular and treated as YSR family followers. In 2012 bye-elections Konda Surekha creates shivers to TRS. TRS is almost slipped to the edge of lost in the election. Soon after she lost the bye-election the gap between Jagan and Konda couple widens. Konda couple assumes that Sajjala and YV are trying to put Konda couple aside. After this Konda couple haven’t participate in Sharmila and Vijayalakshmi tours. Konda Surekha has demended for the explanation from Vijayalakshmi on Seemandhra MLAs resignation. She also criticized harshly in one to one discussion with Vijayalakshmi and other senior leaders on their political future in Telangana.
Estranged couple and their cadre are seeking to join in another political force. They have no chance to join either in TRS or in TDP. The only option they left is Congress. Cadre also suggested them to join in Congress. Konda couple has good relations with senior congress leaders like DS and Botsa. All of them related to same community. Within couple of days Konda couple announced their plan of action.
