Lalu Prasad Yadav has been arrested in the Fodder Scam. Lalu Prasad Yadav even now politicizes the issue instead of accepting the verdict. However, he was taken to Birsa Munda Central Jail in Ranchi.
So, for those who don't know about it, On January 27, 1996, a raid on Animal Husbandry department in Chaibasa found a whopping Rs.950 Crores fodder scam and that was connected with the Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav. Initially, this started on a small scale by low-level government employees in order to show some fake funds.
And slowly it grew and various politicians started involving in it and a large amount of money got introduced. The Animal Husbandry department also made lots of money withdrawals such as 1000 Crores in the name of medicines during Lalu Prasad Yadav's Chief Minister period. After one year in 1997, CBI filed charge sheets against Lalu Prasad Yadav and 55 more were co-accused. But he survived due to all political stunts. Now, finally, the justice has happened! The whole verdict will be announced on January 3, 2018.
