Chennai sources have stated that Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami and Transport Minister MR. Vijayabhaskar had separately appealed to the striking transport workers to resume duty as per the Madras High Court’s direction as two persons were killed in a separate incidents involving buses driven by drivers which were hired on casual basis in Cuddalore and Chennai districts.



Meanwhile the union said they would continue the strike and further justify their stand in the court on Monday. Presently the people are in trouble as their regular duties are getting delayed and the high court had ordered the workers to face suspension or dismissal if they don’t resume work immediately.

Earlier the state government was given Rs. 7000 crores for the transport department and now the employees are questioning as where has the amount gone and the concerned officials are saying that the amount is found missing and the employees are in full anger and had said they will resume work when their problems are solved.
