Janaki, a transgender woman who had literally nothing till last year, now is happily smiling at her life, as she has been given a data entry job by the Andhra Pradesh government, at the state housing board. Chandrababu Naidu had announced last year that equal opportunity will be given to transgender women, and Janaki is the first to bag the job.



Though Janaki, 26, new from a younger age that she was a trans person, she feared her family, who constantly troubled and assaulted her when she asked for a saree to wear. After school, she decided to get a computer science degree at Prodattur Government College. Despite negativity around, with the encouragement of professors and doctors, she's now a double degree holder, BSc and BEd.

Though she had to resort to begging after not being able to secure a job because she's a transgender, after being said by the district collector, she applied for the job. Now Janaki will be working at Chennuru, earning a monthly salary of 15000. Though her parents are unwilling to accept her, she's waiting to get a gift for her mother, and rent a room for herself, while also targeting masters in mathematics.
