According to sources the French court ordered Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat and husband to be evicted from their Paris apartment for failing to keep up with the rent. Meanwhile the court told in its ruling on December 14 that the Indian actress and French husband Cyrille Auxenfans will have to move out as the couple is yet to pay Rs. 94,000 in rent owed and expenses, ever since they moved into the posh apartment.
Sources have stated that the court gave a green signal for their furniture to be seized. Earlier starlet Mallika and Cyrille rented the apartment starting January 1, 2017, for a monthly sum of Rs. 4,60,000 approximately.
Moreover according to the owner, the couple never paid the
rent, making only a single payment and further the matter had a hearing on
November 14 where the couple's lawyer defended saying the "couple was in
financial difficulty" emphasizing on the "irregular" nature of
Mallika's work. Furthermore it is now expected that the couple might appeal the
eviction order.
