2018 has begun on a bizarre note for Bollywood, with the current box office king Salman King being threatened by a gangster named Lawrence Bishnoi, after he appeared in Jodhpur court for the Blackbuck hunting case. Following the threat, armed men reached the sets of the star's ongoing film Race 3, at Film City , Mumbai, and moved towards Salman Khan, when police was alerted sensing the danger to the life of the star.
The shooting of Race 3 was cancelled immediately, and Salman was escorted back to home. Police reached the sets and informed Salman and producer Ramesh Taurani of the impending threat to the star's life, and then escorted the star safely to the car, with 6 cops to protect him, and his car was driven by another batch of policemen. Lawrence Bishnoi has cases of murder, extortion and many more registered on him.
The reason behind the death threats to Salman is that Lawrence belongs to a community that worships Blackbuck as Gods, and police have also informed Salman that other than Bishnoi, 3 other gangs have plotted to kill Salman, following which security has been beefed up for the star outside his home as well as the shooting locations of the star's films, and Ramesh Taurani, the producer also reassured that extra guards, bouncers are arranged to safeguard Salman.
