According to sources an unconfirmed reports says that film heroine Samantha is likely to contest from Secunderabad Assembly Constituency in 2019 elections. Presently the ruling TRS leadership is seriously planning to rope Samantha into active politics and use her film glamour in the TRS poll campaign.
Further the speculations are doing rounds in TRS circles that since Samantha belonged to Christian community, her victory is confirmed from the Christian dominating Assembly Constituency. According to sources previously, veteran film actress Jayasudha also won election from the same Assembly segment.
Meanwhile Telangana government already appointed
Samantha as brand ambassador to Telangana handlooms. The IT and Industries
Minister KTR is already getting ready to convince Samantha's Father In Law
Nagarjuna to allow her to contest the election and campaign for TRS also during
upcoming elections. Presently however, nobody is confirming in the party the
role to be played by the film actress in the party.
