Sources from Mumbai have stated that a few years ago, former IPL Chairman Lalit Modi fled from India when the Enforcement Directorate (ED) catapulted an investigation into the accusations of his financial irregularities. Presently another Modi is now all over the headlines as he is accused of having done a scam of Rs 11,400 Crore.



According to sources Nirav Modi, owner of one of the biggest global diamond jewelry businesses, has come under the radar of Indian investigative agencies, after Punjab National Bank (PNB) filed a complaint against him, accusing him of scamming a massive amount of Rs 11,400 Crore. Meanwhile fearing the investigation, he has escaped the country last month without knowledge of many. Moreover Modi is a very big name in Bollywood as well and he has had association with some of the Top league actresses of Bollywood, who worked as his business' brand ambassadors and promoted his products at national and international level.

Moreover celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Kapoor, and Lisa Haydon are some of his illustrious clientele from Bollywood. Furthermore in fact, Priyanka Chopra, who became the brand ambassador for Nirav Modi in 2017, even sued him for allegedly defrauding her. As per reports it was suggested that these celebs may face questioning regarding their association with Modi.
