A daily wages worker, who was alleged to have disrespected the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Chennai, to give away subsidized scooters, was arrested by the police today. Last Saturday, an event was organized at the Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai, by the Tamilnadu Government, to give scooters at subsidized prices to women.  

 


Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made a visit to Chennai, especially to participate in this event. Narendra Modi had traveled from Delhi to Chennai in a private jet, and upon landing in the Chennai airport, and then left to the Adyar Naval base, from where he set off to the Kalaivanar Arangam in a car. As he neared Kalaivanar Arangam, people thronged in large numbers on both the sides of the road to welcome him.

However, a person from the crowd, behaved in an indecent manner, creating ruckus in the crowd, and in a way, disrespecting the Prime Minister when he was coming in his car. As the cops who were on duty then, warned the daily wages worker and sent him home, today, the same person has been arrested by the cops on charges of disrespecting the Prime Minister. It has been identified that the man who had indulged in the act was Pazhani, a daily wage worker based in Triplicane. As per reports from Anna Square Police station, this arrest has created panic and chaos in the locality of the daily wages worker.
