Telangana sources stated that TRS Woman leader's controversial statements has presently put state Industries and IT minister KT Rama Rao in big trouble. Her remarks had created a political storm in Telangana at a time when KTR is getting ready to take the mantle from his father and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Meanwhile the TRS leader and Siricilla Municipal Mayor Mayor S Pavani had made comments in front of the media that KTR encouraged Corporators and ward Councilors to take commissions from the contractors for awarding works. Accordingly the mayor was elected from the Municipality which falls under Siricilla Assembly Constituency from where KTR was elected.
Moreover Pawani also said the works were not being
sanctioned to the contractors without paying commissions to the local elected
leaders. Further as the party Chief KCR got serious on her comments which
went viral on social media, Pawani was asked to quit the post and hence the
Mayor immediately put in her papers. Meanwhile when taking the issue as an
weapon to corner KCR and KTR, Congress decided to wage a legal battle by
lodging a complaint with Anti Corruption Bureau.
