Following allegations of sexual misconduct and numerous extramarital affairs by his wife Hasin Jahan, Indian cricketer Mohamad Shami had lost the BCCI contract, and now, it has been feared that the cricketer might even have to miss the 2018 edition of IPL tournament.

Following complaints on his extramarital affairs, Hasin Jahan had also alleged that Shami was involved in betting and match-fixing for more than 3 years. With the betting complaint on him getting stronger, and Jahan saying that she has evidence for Shami's involvement in match-fixing, it is expected that Shami might face the fire. Currently, there are a lot of cases filed against Shami in various crimes like an attempt to murder, rape, betting, and many others, making it difficult for Shami to come out on bail if arrested, and that had impacted his contract.
