Due to severe protests in Seemandhra opposing the bifurcation of state, sources say that the Centre has reportedly asked the Union Home Ministry to withhold the preparation of the Re-organisation Bill until the high power committee headed by AK Antony submits its report.

This committee was formed to address the concerns of the people in Andhra and Rayalaseema.  This development is seen as a partial success to anti-Telangana movement. Though it must be said that the Congress high command has taken a decision unmindful of the ground reality, the Antony Committee can throw some light.

AK Antony's committee held its first meeting on Tuesday in Delhi and is only expected to meet again on August 19th and 20th and they may not be visiting Hyderabad anytime soon as Monsoon Sessions of Parliament are going on at present.
