In the list of India's 100 most powerful people, EPS and OPS have surpassed Superstar Rajinikanth. In the list recently released by Indian Express, of the powerful people of India, some of the popular residents of Tamilnadu who have featured include, Assembly opposition leader Stalin, Nirmala Seetharaman, Subramanian Swamy, P.Chidambaram, to name a few.
While the number 1 position is held by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the second position is held by BJP leader Amit Shah, and Chief Justice Deepak Mishra holds the third position. While RSS Chief Mohan Bhagawat holds the 4th position, Congress party leader Sonia Gandhi holds the 5th position in the powerful list. DMK leader, and opposition head Stalin occupies the 24th position, overtaking AIADMK party's EPS and OPS who are currently at number 64 and 65 in the list respectively.
Congress senior leader P Chidambaram
is at the 67th position, with his popularity fading due to continuous
complaints of corruption and his son Karthi's involvement in scams. While
Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is at 77th position, Superstar Rajinikanth
is at 78th rank, while cricketer Hardik Patel is at 99th position, and Carnatic
singer TM Krishna is at number 100.
