Cricket God Sachin Tendulkar has donated the 90 lakhs he earned during his tenure as an MP, to the Prime Minister's relief fund. The most popular cricketer of India, and world's finest batsman Sachin Tendulkar, had been appointed as the member of parliament of Rajyasabha way back in 2012. His tenure as an MP has now come to an end.
In such a scenario, the legendary cricketer has donated all the 90 lakhs he had earned during his 6 years tenure as an MP, to the Prime Minsiter's relief fund. In a press note from the Prime Minister's office, it has been detailed that, the salary and other monetary benefits earned by Shri Sachin Tendulkar during his tenure as a Rajyasabha MP for the past 6 years, had amounted to a total of 90 lakhs, and the whole amount had been donated by the renowned cricketer towards Prime Minister's relief fund. Sachin Tendulkar was thanked by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and it was revealed that the whole fund will be utilized for serving the needy.
Though Sachin was accused of not
participating in most of the parliament sessions, of the MP maintenance budget
allocated, he had distributed 7.4 crores to various development projects, and
to almost 185 plans and projects. He had also allocated 30 crores for
development of education and schools development. He had also adopted the
Donja village in Maharashtra, and Andhra's Budhdhm raju Kandhiriga village
inder Sansath Gram Adharsh Gram Yojana schemes.
