A newlywed bride, who was on her way to her husband's home immediately after her marriage, was shot dead and her jewels were stolen. In Uttar Pradesh, the atrocities by highway robbers have been on the rise constantly.
Day before Yesterday at national highway 58, a group stopped a car that was coming in the way, as they held them at gunpoint. The gang threatened to surrender their jewels and money to them to survive. During this confrontation, the gang shot a 22 year old girl in the car. The gang robbed jewels and items worth 6 lakhs from the car, and when they tried to take the girl who was shot to hospital, she passed away on the way itself.
The girl who had passed away was
identified as Farhana from Ghaziabad who had got married to Mohammed Shajib
from Muzaffarnagar only yesterday at Ghaziabad, and it was after wedding that
she was brutally killed.
