The former prime minister of India Manmohan Singh has said that, it was because of the economic reform activities by the central government run by BJP that people lost trust on banks. With both the Congress and BJP parties campaigning on a strong note to win the Karnataka State assembly elections which are scheduled to be held on May 12, Manmohan has said this.
Manmohan Singh had been campaigning for Congress in Bengaluru and had met the press recently when he said the above statement. Manmohan Singh had said that it was because of BJP government's economic reforms like demonetization and the implementing of GST taxes that people had faced so many difficulties.
He went on to add that, Modi
government was also responsible for common public losing trust on the public
sector banks. Manmohan pointed out that the economic reforms also lead to ATM
machines running out of money as well. Besides he complained that Modi never
took any action on the escapist Nirav Modi and was rather focusing only on
accusing opposition parties.
