Andhra Pradesh has been one of the primary areas of concern for the BJP, especially with the denial of the state's Special category request not processed by the central government and leading to the subsequent withdrawal of support to the centre and the breaking of an alliance which supposedly was key to BJP breaking into Andhra.
However, with Actor Sivaji's allegations on Operation Garuda, it has been unclear on how exactly BJP Leader Amit Shah will operate and execute the Operation Garuda, and it has been said that there are plans to do Kapu politics, and making senior congress leaders join them. BJP has reportedly planned a pro backward movement and attempts to attract the Kapu community, and plans are on to announce state president of the party from the community.
Operation garuda besides has been
steadily progressing with BJP deploying usage of YSR congress leader YS Jagan
besides the actor turned politician Pawan Kalyan for the same, in a bid to
destroy TDP rule. Lot of Congress party members are also expected to join the
BJP side, in a move which is aimed at destabilizing the state politics.
