Student Sofia's side has been strong that a case will be filed against Tamilnadu BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan sooner. 23-year-old research student Sofia, on 3rd September had traveled in flight from Chennai to Thoothukudi.
During the travel, which also saw TN BJP leader Tamilisai accompanying her in the flight, Sofia had raised the slogan as fascist BJP government down-down. This lead to an argument and Tamilisai ensured Sofia was arrested and sent to jail.
Following this Sofia's father, and lawyer Athisaya Kumar had gone to the human rights commission to give their side explanation. and Sofia had explained the whole sequence of events. They argued that action was taken based on Tamilisai complaint on Sofia, but no action was taken on Tamilisai based on Sofia's complaint yet, and soon there will be more cases filed against Tamilisai.
