Reportedly KCR's opponent and Gajwel's Prajakutami candidate Vanteru Prathap Reddy has attempted suicide on Monday. When accusing police of targeting him personally and troubling him, Vanteru has poured petrol on him and tried to attempt suicide. Furthermore tension prevailed as Vanteru Prathap Reddy's followers have gathered in large numbers learning about the incident.
Meanwhile Vanteru Going into details, police have raided the house of Vanteru Vijay Reddy, son of Vanteru Prathap Reddy, on Monday midnight. Further cops said that they acted on a tip off that the cash and liquor has been reserved at Vanteru Vijay Reddy's Kompally house. Reports added although the family members told cops that there are no such things at their house, police have went ahead and raided the entire house on midnight. Moreover, police didn't find any cash or liquor.
As per report Prathap Reddy and his aides have raised slogans against police officials. Prathap Reddy said that he is ready to claim his life if cops continue to "torture" him. Moreover Vanteru also alleged that Gajwel police and Election Officers have colluded. Earlier TRS party state secretary Srinivas Reddy had complained to Election Commission that Vanteru had huge reserves of cash and liquor and police said they have acted as per the information they have received.
