Accordingly as long as you are a registered voter and your name is on the list, you can exercise your franchise with the following alternative documents like Passport, Driving License, Service ID cards with photograph issued by Central/State governments, PSU/post office, PAN card, Smart card issued by RGI under NPRMNREGA job card, Health insurance smart card issued by the Ministry of Labor, Pension document with a photograph, Authenticated photo voter slip issued by election machinery, Aadhaar card.



Furthermore documents like ration card, electricity bill etc. will not be accepted. Meanwhile if you haven’t received your polling slip, you can go to your polling station on Friday and vote if you are registered as a voter, as long as you can show a valid document as a proof of your identity. To find your polling booth the Election Commission has launched an app called ‘Naa Vote’ in order to allow voters to find voter details, information regarding the constituency, the list of candidates, pick up services for persons with disability, volunteer data, what the best route is to reach your polling station, etc.

Accordingly one can also send an SMS to 9223166166 with the message TS VOTE VOTERID NO. Moreover you can also send the SMS to 51969 with the message -- TS VOTE VOTERID NO. Reports added the polling will start at 7 am and will end at 5 pm in most locations.
