Following the analysis made on the respect and influence A Raja has in Nilgiris, reportedly DMK is planning to field him as a candidate in Nilgiris for Lok Sabha elections. With DMK deciding almost on Raja to contest in Nilgiris, ADMK and BJP are both planning to field their own candidates in the constituency.
Usually as per report A Raja will contest from Perambalur and win but following its conversion to a separate constituency he fielded from Nilgiris in 2009 and became MP and again in 2014 also and he contested there.
But as per report Gopalakrishnan won the election but lost respect as he never visited his constituency, and there are conflicts within ADMK people in the area and with Raja meeting people and helping them, he's earned respect and hence DMK is most probable to make him contest in Nilgiris. However, he has got a bad name on the social media due to various controversies and issues.
