As per report AP BJP leaders are alleging the AP police of acting in favor of ruling TDP and in this backdrop, media reports are rife that RP Thakur would be replaced. Meanwhile a Telangana vernacular, owned by KCR, has reported a speculation that RP Thakur could be replaced as AP DGP. Furthermore it is reported that the Election Commission would change incumbent DGP and could appoint a new person as AP DGP once the Election Code comes into the force.
Further even Opposition leader YS Jagan has given a formal complaint to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora in New Delhi. Reportedly Jagan has asked the CEC to change the top police officials in AP and with BJP, YCP, TRS are vouching for the change of DGP in AP, speculations are rife that RP Thakur could be transferred.
Moreover even the rumors of appointment of new DGP for AP are going viral in several whatsapp groups of YSRCP. Reportedly the Election Commission has been acting strict on AP. It has been taking special care on AP and the EC had asked AP state government to change its Electoral Officer RP Sisodia. Hence as per EC's request, AP has changed Sisodia and appointed Dwivedi as the new CEO (Chief Electoral Officer).
