Hyderabad sources made a statement that veteran actress and former Congress MLA Jayasudha on Thursday joined the YSR Congress. Meanwhile sources said Ms Jayasudha has a strong following in Andhra Pradesh and the party was planning to give her the ticket for either Vijayawada or Visakhapatnam Assembly segment.
Previously in the 2009 elections, Ms Jayasudha was elected from Secundrabad Assembly constituency under the leadership of former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy. Furthermore following her defeat in the 2014 elections and the state bifurcation, she joined the Telugu Desam in 2016, but was abstaining from active politics. Apparently she recalled that she joined politics under the guidance of Jaganmohan Reddy's father and then Chief Minister Y.S Rajasekhara Reddy.
She said to the reporters "Jaganmohan Reddy will be the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and she will work according to his guidelines”. Jayasudha will definitely capture Jagan’s constituencies and her role in politics will play a major role in Andhra Pradesh election.
