Accordingly Kailash Katkar, CEO of Quick Heal Technologies has one of the most intriguing rags to riches tales which has a very humble beginning. Meanwhile he had no particular expertise in studies and hence, he opted to work after matriculation. He took up a job as a calculator and radio repairer in a repair shop. Furthermore this didn’t just aid to his knowledge in the technical field but gave him sufficient accounting skills too and he got a good hold over his skills and decided to take the entrepreneurial path. Thus, he opened a calculator repair shop of his own.

Apparently it was then that the newly emerging software boom hit him and he decided to indulge himself into this field. Further he started off with CAT computer services along with his repair business. Meanwhile in this new endeavor Kailash noticed that a large number of machines that came for repair were infected with virus. Accordingly an idea struck Kailash and he persuaded his younger brother, a computer science engineer to develop antivirus software.

Hence they named the software Quick Heal and sold it for just Rs. 700 making it one of the cheapest options available and from then there was no looking back. Presently they have a presence in about 50 countries over the world. Moreover without losing the hope and will, he kept his efforts at his maximum and pitched customers aggressively.



Apparently these efforts turned fruitful when he got his first break a few months later and two families signed up for the maintenance of their personal computers for an annual fee of Rs.2,000 each. Hence banking on these new found clients he began getting more clients as well.
