Collection King Mohan Babu who recently joined YSR Congress was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Erramanzil court in Hyderabad. Film director YVS Chaudhary approached the court in 2010 regarding the Cheque Bounce of Rs 40 lakh. On Tuesday, the court sentenced Mohan Babu to one-year imprisonment.
In this case, Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures was ordered to pay Rs. 10,000 fine. Salim starring Manchu Vishnu has been directed by YVS Chowdhary. During the filming of the film, Rs. 40.50 lakh Cheque was given to the director. However, YVS Chowdary approached the court in 2010 after the check bounced.
Finally, the final verdict was pronounced on Tuesday after nine years. The judge ordered the jail sentence to be extended for another three months if Mohan Babu failed to pay Rs 41.75 lakh. However, Mohan Babu applied to the bail for the case. Mohan Babu may appeal the verdict in a higher court but this will be a huge embarrassment for the actor who just made a comeback to Politics.
