According to sources the members of the CBN controlled Telugu Desam Party (TDP) threatened the poll officers who were on election duty. This happened yesterday during the poll officials regular checking in polling stations located in districts of Kuppam, Kuppiganipalle, Pogurupalle Dasimanupalle in Chittoor.
In a common norm as per their checking they instructed TDP members to remove the party flags following which the party members there started behaving rude and violently and also went to the extent of physically assaulting the officials, saying they will keep flags as per their wish. TDP cadre surrounded election officials and threatened to leave the area immediately.
In Kurnool ZP Chairman of Hussainapuram and TDP leader in Orvakal Mandal,Mallela Rajasekhar threatened public to vote for TDP after they questioned him on what TDP did to resolve drinking water and irrigation issues and following this he attacked them and few were taken to hospital.
