Enforcement Directorate has now frozen 40 crores worth assets which are owned by former Tamilnadu chief minister late DMK president M.Karunanidhi's grandson and his son M.K. Alagiri's son Dhayanidhi Alagiri.
This move was done by the enforcement directorate for his involvement in a Granite scam case which has been in effect from several years with hearing in progress. It has been reported that more than 25 moveable and immovable assets owned by Dhayanidhi Alagiri located in Chennai and Madurai are taken control and seized by the ED.
Other than his political and business influence, Dhayanidhi Alagiri is also a producer with his cloud nine productions produced movies like Thala Ajith's Mankatha and Vaaranam Aayiram and many other movies.
