Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a sensational statement on Monday during a poll rally in Sreerampur that 40 TMC MLAs were in touch with him and they will desert their party after BJP comes to power again at the Center. This comment has drawn a lot of flak as the Prime Minister is blackmailing a democratically elected Government.
"More than 40 TMC MLAs are in touch with me and all your MLAs will desert you once the BJP wins the elections. Political ground has slipped from under your feet", Modi warned. Prime Minister mocked Mamata for often losing her cool as she was sensing defeat and said that she cannot even dream of becoming the Prime Minister.
"Didi, Dilli door hai (Delhi is far away for you Didi)", he commented. Four phases of the total Seven Phases of General Elections are complete and the BJP has pinned high hopes on registering high gains in West Bengal which would cover up any loses in Uttar Pradesh. So, the Prime Minister is focusing on Bengal very keenly.
