Hyderabad sources reported that Dr Yegurla Jatin from Hyderabad topped the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) DM (Doctorate In Medicine-three year course) Gastroenterology Entrance Test. Meanwhile the MBBS pass out from Osmania medical college aims to make advanced endoscopic procedures like ERCP (Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) which is accessible to all.
Furthermore after completing an MD in internal medicine from PGIMER-Chandigarh (2015-18) , Yegurla Jatin was preparing for the AIIMS exam simultaneously while working for 16 hours day . Reportedly Yegurla Jatin's family hails from Karimnagar, but is settled in Hyderabad. Motivated by his mother who is also doctor and did voluntary work for patients, inspired him to take up this profession.
He said "There are lots of techniques and principles that can be applied to bring down the cost. This as well as a unique healthcare model was pioneered by Dr Devishetty, which he wants to bring to our state. The model involves charging a good amount from well to do people, which is then redistributed to poor patients”. Apparently his wife Vidiyala Pujitha is also a doctor and has completed post graduation in radio diagnostics from Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS).
