Emeritus, Tata Sons chairman Ratan Tata has invested in Ola Electric which had raised Rs 400 crore in March. As a part of its pooling of investors, earlier Tiger Global and Matrix India were there and then in 2018 Ola announced Mission: Electric with an attempt to reach 1 million Electric Vehicles on Indian roads in 2021.



Ratan Tata said that the electric vehicle ecosystem is evolving and he believes Ola Electric will have a major role in this. He added that he loved the vision of Bhavish Aggarwal and he is confident of his moves. Bhavish Aggarwal, Co-founder, and CEO of Ola said that Ratan Tata has been his inspiration and mentor and helped shape Ola’s journey and welcomed him onboard as Ola Electric investor.


He said that with his guidance and visionary thoughts they can achieve their goal of 1 million e-vehicles on roads by 2021. Ola is now having 11 categories across 110 cities in India with more than 125 million users in India.
