According to sources, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave warning for the next four days in several places of Telangana. Meanwhile, the department predicted that the temperature will touch 46-45 degrees in one or two places in May. Furthermore, according to the weather warning, heat wave conditions are very likely to prevail over isolated pockets of Adilabad, Nirmal, Mancherial, Asifabad, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Rajanna-Sircilla, Siddipet, Warangal, Khammam, Nalgonda, and others. 


When speaking to TNM, IMD hyderabad weather forecasting head, K Nagaratna said, “The temperatures will continue to rise due to the dry winds from the northwestern direction. In many pockets of the state, the temperature would touch 42 degrees. The temperature could go up to 45-46 degrees at one or two places.” Furthermore, in Telangana, Nizamabad recorded the highest temperature of 44 degrees on Monday followed by Adilabad, Mahabubnagar, Medak, Nalgonda and Ramagundam at 43 degrees.


Moreover Bhadrachalam recorded 42 degrees, while hyderabad, Hakimpet, Hanamkonda, and Khammam recorded 41 degrees. Dundigal recorded the lowest temperature of 40 degrees. Reports added in Andhra Pradesh, Kurnool recorded the highest maximum temperature of 43 degrees followed by Kadapa and Nandyal at 42 degrees. Nellore, Vijayawada, Anantapur and Tirupati recorded 41 degrees. Kalingapatnam and visakhapatnam recorded temperatures of 33 degrees.
