Why is Dinesh Reddy desparate for extension of service as DGP even after holding that position for two years . Sources in Police department and CBI say that the DGP who has victimised several senior IPS officers and politicains is also known for his corrupt deeds is scared of revenge action.
Even in the media circles he is very well known as a publicity animal who went to any extent to get mileage over not only his colleagues but also political leaders. He had called up national and local channels to come and interview him on CBI case etc , but in view of his vengeful acts , no media reporter ventured to meet him. Sources in the Home ministry said from the begining Dinesh Reddy was such a power monger, he would make politicians to call up senior officials and try to get influential postings .
We all know that DGP had amassed wealth but took care to register most of them in his wife and other relatives names .In Hyderabad city it self he had owned up acres of land in collusion with officials close to YSR. Several senior Congress leaders including Ministers cautioned this reporter .' Be careful , Dinesh is a biggest litigant and will harass you even if he is on wrong side with his men and money power '.
Many politicians and IPS and IAS officials heaved a great sigh of relief this evening finally when the DGP announced his fare well parade tomorrow after the 1979 batch officer had finally lost his house-motion in the special high court session held today at the residence of the Chief justice .
