Andhra Pradesh is the only notable state which has got no representation in the Union Cabinet. Besides Andhra Pradesh, Six North-Eastern States, and Six Union Territories did not have any representation in modi's Team. This is the first time Andhra Pradesh is let out of the Union Cabinet.
Even when Chandrababu Naidu did not join Vajpayee Cabinet in 1999, Venkaiah Naidu, Bandaru Dattatreya and CH vidya Sagar Rao were in the Cabinet as BJP representatives. BJP drew a blank in the recent General Elections. Not a single MLA or MP from the Saffron Party could manage to save his deposit which indicates the plight of the party in AP.
So, modi and Shah have decided not to have any representatives from the state. There were rumors that Andhra Born GVL Narasimha Rao may get a place but he was left out. Kishan Reddy managed to get a Minister of State from Telangana and got the insignificant MoS of Home Affairs where amit shah will run the show.
