According to sources the hyderabad Metro Rail has set a new record on Friday. Meanwhile the Metro Rail witnessed a total of 2.95 lakh passengers utilizing the service within a day in hyderabad. Furthermore as per the latest figures, the record was established on Friday on Corridor 1 (Miyapur to LB Nagar) and Corridor 3 (Nagole to HiTech City).

Apparently according to the hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) Managing Director NVS Reddy, Ameerpet, being the interchange station connecting two corridors, recorded the highest footfall of 19,000 passengers, which was followed by HiTech City, which recorded a footfall of 17,201 passengers. Further the final stops of the two corridors witnessed a footfall of 16,000 and 14,000 passengers each.



Moreover HMR has stated that 2.65 passengers, particularly the government and private company employees are witnessed on an average in the two metro routes on weekdays while weekends record other commuters apart from the regular passengers. Perhaps touted to be the largest metro in the world under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode, the entire Metro Rail project is likely to be completed by December 2019.
