Arizona-based Jessica Cox became the World's first pilot without arms. She became a licensed pilot recently. What makes her so special is, she has lost both her arms, but still she persuaded the studies and became a pilot.
She is also a motivational speaker, a piano player and also a scuba diver. Jessica revealed that to be a pilot the biggest hurdle she faced was to use the logistics as she realized she couldn't use all the traditional controls.
She said, "There are some controls which are created exclusively for the people with paralysis to control the plane. I found a unique one built and it is called an Ercoupe. It has simplified controls and I can fly safely. It took three years for me to learn music." She also found it hard to get the right combination of instructors. It normally takes 6 months for an individual to be a pilot, but Jessica did it in a year.
