Accordingly Polavaram dam is considered as the lifeline of Andhra Pradesh. Being a project that has got national status, the BJP government allotted very minimal funds for its construction and the last TDP government did whatever is needed. Meanwhile as an opposition leader, YS jagan never visited the dam in the last five years but continued his attack on the previous government that it is making false claims on the project's progress.
Presently jagan is the CM, he has finally made up his mind to visit the project. Tomorrow i.e, on June 20th, jagan will have a look at Polavaram construction. Reportedly for nearly three hours, jagan is likely to stay at the Polavaram construction site and he is likely to hold a meeting with the engineers and contractors of the project and will learn about its construction progress and other works.
Moreover ahead of CM's visit, Collector Muthyala Raju and SP navdeep Singh have
reviewed the security arrangements at the construction site. Along with CM
jagan, AP irrigation minister Anil Kumar Yadav and YSRCP MLAs will also visit
Polavaram.
