At one point of time, it looked as if YSRCP has taken it for granted that anyone who exits Congress should only join Jagan’s party. But sources say that Rayapati Sambasiva Rao's inclination towards TDP was a real shocker to the party. This has set a new precedence of party switching.

They reportedly started calling the Guntur MP, to rethink his decision of sailing with TDP and extended their invitation to him, and moreover since he is very much wealthy, both TDP and YSRCP are hopeful that he can also look after the weak MLA candidates in his constituency.

After a long time, Rayapati seems to be moving towards TDP. Sources say that there are hectic negotiations going on but since he is a smart politician and since he believes Modi will come to power in 2014, he is reportedly taking care of his business interests from now on and trying to hitch onto TDP-BJP bandwagon now.
