In what can be termed as a shocking incident, Forest range officer Anitha was attacked when she went for afforestation work at Kaleshwaram Project, Kagaznagar, Telangana. The victim identified man who attacked her as Koneru Krishna, Zilla Parishad Vice-chairman and brother of Sirpur TRS MLA Koneru Konappa along with 10 others
What is shocking is that despite the presence of a reported 50 police personnel, the attack could not be prevented. Indian Forest Service (IFS) Officers Association has condemned the attack on forest officials in Sirpur Kagaznagar and has demanded that action be taken against those responsible.
It was only the Last year Sirpur MLA Koneru Konappa abused a group of excise officials, including a woman excise inspector Mangamma who stopped a vehicle for checks. Today, his brother Koneru krishna and a mob attacked a woman forest official Anitha in Sirpur Khagaznagar.
