attended the meetings to chalk out the strategy of the movement in the USA. A detailed presentation was given during these meetings about ill-effects of the division, way forward on stopping the division, and the game plan to keep Andhra Pradesh united. Participants warned Government of India that all options are on the table to preserve the rights of Telugu People in India. The forum members strongly denounced the autocratic and arbitrary manner in which the Government of India is depriving the people of Andhra Pradesh of basic rights provided by the constitution.

APNRI Forum is outrageous to the fact that the “largest democratic country” in the world is violating basic democratic principles and constitutional laws by suppressing the pleas of over 75% Andhra Pradesh’s people who strongly oppose division of the state. Government of India should seriously pay attention to the recent Arab Spring movements and the way common men rose to topple autocratic governments in Egypt and Tunisia when their aspirations were suppressed.

The members and the participants pledged to be at the vanguard of the movement and to pursue legal and other means at their disposal to dissuade the Government of India’s undemocratic decisions. APNRI Forum urged people of Andhra Pradesh to reject autocratic decisions and stand against tyranny of New Delhi and fight persistently using Gandhian principles. For more details about our action plan and to support the cause, please visit http://andhrapradeshnri.org
