Senior Telugu Desam Party leader and former minister from Kadapa C Adinarayana Reddy is all set to defect to the Bharatiya Janata Party to safeguard his business and political interests. Adinarayana Reddy had met BJP national working president Jagat Prakash Nadda on Sunday and had talks about his joining into the party.

Adinarayana Reddy, who got elected on the YSR Congress party ticket in Jammalamadugu in Kadapa district in 2014 elections, defected to the Telugu Desam Party three years ago for the sake of cabinet berth. He used to be very vocal about YSR Congress and was also instrumental in defeat jagan's Uncle, Vivekananda Reddy in the MLC Election back then.

After the recent elections, Adinarayana Reddy has realized that it is very difficult for him to survive politically in Kadapa district without strong support. TDP has won just three seats in Rayalaseema in the recent elections. Two of them being Chandrababu Naidu's Kuppam Seat and balakrishna's Hindupur seat. Political leaders see no future for the Cycle Party in Rayalaseema. So, they are trying to move towards green pastures.
