Tamil Nadu BJP President, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan who lost to kanimozhi from the Tuticorin Lok Sabha constituency in the recent elections will be replacing ESL Narasimhan as the Governor of Telangana. She is going to be the Second Governor of Telangana and the First Woman Governor of the State. She has been the face of the party in Tamil Nadu over the past few years.
BJP has a strong reason to select Tamilisai as the Governor. Even though at 58, she is fairly young for a gubernatorial role. One more interesting reason why Soundararajan is just the right choice for the post of Telangana Governor. Her date of birth is 2 June, the day Telangana was formed. She can identify herself with the state with this coincidence even though she has no connection whatsoever with Telangana until now.
Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan is a medical doctor and former President of the Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party. She was a National Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party prior to this appointment. On the other side, Telangana Chief Minister kcr called her this evening on Phone and warmly welcomed her to the State.
