With the new traffic norms based on the Stricter Motor Vehicles Act, several drivers are facing some hefty penalties. The latest news is that an auto driver in Gurugram was asked to pay a whopping sum of Rs.32,500 for violating the traffic rules.

This auto driver was fined at the Bristol Chowk in Gurugram. The auto driver never had any registration certificate, driver's license, Pollution certificate, Insurance. As he violated all rules, he was fined such a huge amount. In another incident, a delhi resident was fined Rs.23,000 and the biggest irony is that the scooter he was driving itself just costs Rs.15,000. The new traffic penalties have created huge noise among the citizens.

Now, if you drive without a license the fine will be Rs.5,000. Earlier, it was Rs.500. If a minor drives a vehicle, he should pay a fine of Rs.10,000 and earlier it was just Rs.500. If commuters never gave way to emergency vehicles earlier there was no penalty, but now violators should pay Rs.10,000. If you drive a two wheeler without a helmet a fine of Rs.1000 will be charged instead of Rs.500.
