Ex-Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe has passed away at the age of 95. Current President, Emmerson Mnangagwa said, "It is with the utmost sadness that I announce the passing on of Zimbabwe's founding father and former President, Cde Robert Mugabe."
He further added that Robert Mugabe was an icon of liberation and he has dedicated his life totally to the empowerment of the people. His contribution to the history of the nation and continent will never be forgotten. I pray for his soul to Rest in Peace. He was on his trip to south AFRICA'>south africa to attend the World Economic Forum and he cut short his trip and headed back to Zimbabwe.
It should be noted that Robert was hospitalized in singapore for months as his health was deteriorated. Media reported that he was treated for cataract. But there are some secret reports that he had prostate cancer. No other details were revealed about the circumstances of his death or where he took is last breath.
