ISRO Chief Sivan said, "It has been a hard landing" regarding vikram hitting the Lunar Surface. He also said that the images of the lander were taken by the Orbiter. He added that the images are healthy despite the fact the communication with the lander has been lost.


Mr.Sivan also said that the first images of the lander were taken by the orbiter has been received. He also accepted that they are unaware if the vikram module has been damaged due to this hard-landing. The soft landing plans have been thwarted as the communication has been totally lost.


ISRO chief K Sivan said that efforts to establish communication with the vikram lander will continue, despite the fact that the space organization suspects the lander having made a hard landing. The orbiter, which was reported to be in a healthy condition has taken pictures of the lander and helped locate it on the moon's surface. ISRO Chief watched the live telecast of the landing of vikram module of Chandrayan 2 on Lunar Surface in Bengaluru.
