TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu seems to have become very emotional yesterday when he visited the Hi-Tech city to mark fifteen years of its completion. It was built by L& T completed in 1998 in a record 18 months.
Even most of his rivals acknowledge his contribution for this destination which had become synonymous with the growth of Hyderabad as a global knowledge hub and how it has attracted lakhs of employees, hundreds of companies.
At the same time this also served to direct all critics that gave him the tag of Hi-tech Babu who neglected all other areas just for the sake of this Hi-tech city and which eventually took away power from him in 2004.
However this was no small achievement which in a way created Brand Hyderabad and now the city has become a bone of contention between Seemandhras and Telanganites. Babu reportedly had become very emotional and cut a cake outside the Hi-tech city building yesterday!
