YSR Congress Party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has once again taken lead in his campaign for united andhra and also called for a bandh against the UPA governments decision for bifurcation. He has already replaced Chandrababu Naidu in national politics as the mascot of AP politics . Jagan met Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and his father Mulayam Singh Yadav at Lucknow and sought their support for his campaign to keep Andhra Pradesh united as the only mantra for development and deliver welfare sops to the common man. Incidentally though both Akhilesh and Mulayam Yadav are opposed to bifurcation of state and smaller states they are however fidgeting to meet Jagan in view of his sour relations with Sonia Gandhi. Getting the support of Akhilesh wouldn't be difficult as the latter has openly opposed Telangana and supported Samaikyandhra.YSRCP leaders said that Jagan's meeting is required to mobilise the opinion against the 'arbitrary usage of Article 3' of the Constitution that empowers Government of India to create new states. Hitherto, Jagan has out ranked Chandrababu Naidu in national politics by causing a wave after he met West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar and Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray, Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa, DMK chief M.Karunanidhi.
