Gangula Bhanumati wife of MaddelaCheruvu Suri is keeping on trying her attempts to contest from Rapthadu opposite her arch-rival Paritala Sunitha. Bhanumati was contested from Penugonda as Congress nominee and lost to late Paritala Ravi in 2004 general elections. She got the ticket with the blessings of late YSR. She tried in 2009 elections too but failed to get Congress Ticket. Penugonda Assembly ticket went to another candidate.
After the delimitation of constituencies in 2009, 3 mandals joined and formed new Segment called Rapthadu. Paritala Sunitha has won the Segment in 2009 elections as TDP Nominee. YSR was believed that Thopudurthy Prakash Reddy was better than Bhanumathi and Congress ticket assigned to him in 2009 elections. Bhanumati has dejected for not getting Rapthadu. She was ready to stand for Independent but she turned back with Suri orders. Suri followers have supported Sivalinga in 2009 elections.
Sunitha won the sear against Thopudurthy Prakash Reddy but Sivalinga did performance by splitting more votes. Prakash Reddy believed that Suri behind Sivalinga. It starts cold war between Bhanumati and Prakash Reddy groups for Rapthadu. Prakash Reddy joined in YSRCP. Bhanumati is continued in Congress. Recently, she convened meeting with her followers to join YSRCP. But she didn’t receive any intimation from Jagan. If anyone of them got ticket, other groups are not in a position to co-operate for their win. Group fighting in YSRCP make sure the victory of Paritala Sunitha again in 2014 general elections.
