Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi has shown that his writ will become law in the party and party led Government even at Centre.On his direction today at the AICC , the Petroleum Minister Veerappa Moily immediately conceded the long felt demand of the Indian womenfolk from 9 to 12 LPG cylinders per annum, a demand which was rejected at every level by the UPA govt and the ministry in last two years.
Now Rahul Gandhi will be seen as the benefactor of the middle classes and will be seen as a savior of the poor on whom cooking gas shortage had been a major head ache. The Congress party has finally realized that the Adhar linked LPG cylinder prices hikes had been the real cause of their defeat in three state assemblies.
The Ministers announcement had brought cheers among the womenfolk across the country . Even the bitter enemy of the congress, the BJP went on record almost immediately to say that if the Congress had hiked the LPG cylinders to 12 few month earlier it would not have lost power in the three assemblies of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi.
